Bring it to the masses!

From the post -Victorian era to the late 1980’s, furniture designers such as Le Corbusier, Charles and Ray Eames, and Mies van der Rohe all shared a common vision: to make design accessible to all.  They believed that beauty in the home should not be limited to the few who could afford it.  It should be functional, quietly in the background serving the needs of your family, or front and centre like a diva to be admired for its inherent beauty.  We believe this to be a very noble idea, which, alas, is no longer in evidence when you look for a period piece by any of these great designers.  Their collectability leaves them priced out of range of the original philosophy.

We wish to pay homage to the spirit of their philosophy.

Perhaps you have noticed a trend lately in the Modern Classics world.   Suddenly we are seeing pieces like Saarinen’s Womb chair on the big screen in “Legally Blonde”, the Emeco navy chair is everywhere again, and noticeable in “Avatar”.  I remember a great scene in “Sex and the City”, involving the ubiquitous Jacobsen Egg Chair, Samantha, and a therapist!  Let’s not forget the Swan chairs now gracing the interior of many a McDonald’s restaurant.

These are all out of the usual range offered in big box furniture stores.  Because of this, finding these items becomes a project in itself, and the majority of us do not have the big budgets of Hollywood to buy vintage originals to furnish our homes!  So we look on line for inspiration and help, but there is such a proliferation of available goods that deciding what is the best quality and price is a daunting task.

That’s where we come in!

Over the past five years, we have researched and negotiated the very best available pieces for quality and price from the top 25 manufacturers in China today.  Our range of offerings number more than 3,000 items, and is ever expanding.   We are confident that within our virtual showroom you will find what you are seeking to fulfill your needs for quality furniture, accessories and lighting.

Once you contact us and discover our pricing, you too will be able to “Bring it to the masses”!
